About Us - History & Culture
History: Founded in 2005, SET is comprised of researchers and engineers who worked together in the same research fields or DoD organizations for several years. They shared a common desire to perform high quality, technical work in a fast-paced, productive environment. SET was founded for 2 main reasons: 1) Our confidence that the marketplace would support and trust us if we were honest and delivered the same (or better) services for lower cost. 2) Our own desire to create a service organization dedicated to supporting the people interacting with the clients.
Culture: The individuals or teams interfacing with the client are the most important people in the firm. Many companies, even high-tech service firms, manage themselves from the top down with corporate priorities passed from headquarters through several layers out to personnel in the field. We decentralize decision-making authority, so that client needs receive primary consideration. Corporate management serves the needs of our front-line employees. This structure is essential for delivering responsiveness and efficiency critical to our success.
