  5. QA Program: SET has gained a strong understanding of the value of program metrics—quality, performance and financial. Without well-defined metrics, the Navy cannot determine if the program’s mission needs statement and key program parameters are met. These metrics further allow for the detailed mapping of the various processes within the program, and the subsequent leaning of the processes with the expectation to provide the most efficient and effective program. In fact, SET personnel played a major role in the Lean/Six-Sigma analysis by NAVSEA of the Preservation Team Initiative.
